ADAC Sim Racing Expo

May 3, 2025

ADAC Sim Racing ExpoEach year the ADAC Sim Racing Expo takes place in Germany.

Last year there were quite a few exhibitors missing and the exhibition was a little low key.

However, in 2024, most of the top racing sim companies were there, and it was by all accounts, the biggest and best so far.

Among the exhibitors was Asetek, in fact, they had one of the biggest stands. They were showing off their new high-end Invicta steering wheel.

This has been long-awaited and completes their main three ranges of sim equipment, La Prima, Forte and Invicta. The new Invicta wheel is very impressive.

Another of the wheels being shown at the expo was the Soelpec Ultimate. This has been available for a little while but is also one of my favourites.

Logitech and Thrustmaster were showing lower-end equipment. Although they are offering their own direct drive units now.

There were plenty of rigs, including motion rigs, from various companies on show and one rig that moved freely around a predefined area of floor depending on the driver’s inputs.

There were some real-life rally and racing cars on display at a few of the booths, one or two of which were started up every hour or so. And there was even a full-size military helicopter at the show.

Lots of sim racing equipment to see, especially high-end stuff, products that we would all love to have, but that a lot of us can only dream about.

Pedals, direct drives, button boxes, seats, and plenty of steering wheels to see and handle from makers such as Cube Controls, GSI, Fanatec, Cammus, Ascher, BavarianSimTec, Moza, Simucube, Huesinkveld, Sabelt, Trak Racer, and quite a few more.

A number of exhibitors used the Asseta Corso Evo simulator software for use on their rigs. This gave the visitors a first look at the new, long awaited, game which will be available to buy, although it will only be in, what is called, early access form, in January, 2025.

The first look of AC Evo at the expo, saw the game in a very limited, pre-alpha state, but it was still very warmly received, and there is much hope and anticipation for its early access release in early 2025.

If you haven’t been able to visit the Expo in person, a video tour is the next best thing.

There are quite a few walk arounds filmed by various content creators, but probably the best is by GamerMuscle. He is well known for his Expo video tours and he really captures the atmosphere of the event.

So, if you’ve got a bit of time to spare, you don’t have to watch it all in one go, click the link below.

He also has shorter, more in-depth videos of individual stands and products, which again, are very good. Checkout his YouTube channel for these.
