One of my favourite sim racing streamers

David Sampson

David SampsonDavid Sampson, or Sampsoid, to give him his Twitch name, is my favourite streamer and one that I watch more than any other.

His community is great as is demonstrated by the live text chat during his live streams. His ability to maintain concentration on his driving while at the same time reading and talking back to his live text chat is amazing.

He is always interesting to listen to and has a very engaging way of talking.

He is one of the few streamers that my wife, Rosie, is always happy to listen to as well.

David is well respected by his community as well as other iRacers and streamers, as is shown by the attendance in the community races that he hosts each week.

He is friends with some real-life drivers who are also sim racers. Not least, the former Indy Car Champion and Indy 500 winner, Tony Kanaan, who not only takes part in many of David’s community races but is also one of his iRacing teammates.

David is good fun to watch, and what I can’t watch live, I usually catch up later with the recording.

Before becoming a regular on Twitch, David has many YouTube videos to his name. Some of these are races, but he is also well known for his many sim racing help videos.

He says that YouTube is very important to him, and he has started uploading videos to his YouTube channel again. He now also streams simultaneously on YouTube as well as Twitch.

Having spent the last decade or so in the States, David is now back in the UK and is busy refining his new sim racing ‘studio’.

He also works as a content creator for Apex Racing and Virtual Racing School (VRS).

David, or Sampsoid, which is also his brand name as well as his Twitch and YouTube handle, is well worth checking out. Give him a follow on Twitch and subscribe to his YouTube channel as well.
